Deyata Kirula Rata Dinana Heta Dinata Exhibition of National Development will be held from February 4 to 7 at the BMICH, Colombo.
With a view to ensure transport facilities to the public visiting the exhibition hall, steps have been taken to streamline the passenger transport both by train and buses.
There will be a shuttle service from Panadura, Negombo, Gampaha, Homagama, Kaduwela and Malabe direct to and from the BMICH.
There will be buses from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. daily from the above cities and buses will move from 3.00 p.m. to midnight from the BMICH taking the passengers back to the cities.
There will be an additional 150 travelling turns per day, a media release issued by the Government Information Department said.
The Sri Lanka Railways will have three special trains during this period.
One will be from Colombo Fort to Veyangoda.
Trains leave Colombo Fort at 10.30 p.m. to Kalutara and to Negombo from 10.40 p.m.
The private sector has also agreed to provide additional buses during this period
